Utility Locating
Our company provides A.S.C.E.(American Society of Civil Engineers) Level A Damage Prevention for buried utilities. A.S.C.E.defines their best protection, Level A, as Vacuum Excavtion. We use hydro-excavation (water) so that when we return the liquified spoils back into the excavated area, they pack solidly around the various exposed utilities and the infrastructure is left just as it was before our excavation. These liquified spoils eliminate the future settling (of dry spoils) from rain, groundwater and vehicle tires, which can put pressure on and damage those buried utilities; some of which like Cable TV, are very fragile.
We verify the exact location of buried utilities (gas, water, sewer, fiber optic, electric, etc.) with photos and drawings. We correct any false information that all surface-locating equipment (A.S.C.E. Level B) has the potential for giving, in the right scenario.
If you want to eliminate your liability with regard to damaging buried utilities in any construction activity involving disturbing the earth, call us. In six years of working ahead of the Transmission Line Construction Crews of the major power companies in Florida, we have established a perfect track record. Whether it's potholes, soft-digs, trenches, in hard or soft surface, no job is too big or too small.
